Remodeling in
Avondale, Arizona
Avondale is mostly late-1990s and 2000s housing, built during the West Valley's rapid expansion. The homes are solid and practical, and the remodeling work here is correspondingly straightforward — updating finishes in structurally sound houses.
It is close to our base, which keeps travel time out of the schedule and makes the end-of-project details easy to attend to properly.
Avondale's housing stock
Predominantly 1995–2008
Garden Lakes, Coldwater Springs and Rancho Santa Fe make up much of the city's housing, built during the West Valley growth period. Predominantly single-family tract construction, well-built, with predictable framing and plans generally on record.
What we run into here
Twenty-year-old builder finishes
Oak and maple cabinetry, laminate or basic granite counters, standard fixtures — dated and worn but structurally fine.
Garden tubs consuming master bath space
The same pattern found throughout valley housing of this era, and the same opportunity to reclaim the footprint.
Small original pantries
Homes from this period frequently have minimal pantry storage. Reworking cabinetry to add a proper pantry run is a common part of the scope.
Permits in Avondale
City of Avondale Development & Engineering Services
Avondale issues its own permits and inspections. Recent housing stock means original plans are typically available, which makes the process predictable. Permits required for plumbing relocation, electrical additions and structural changes.
The work we do most often in Avondale
Kitchen finish upgrades
Builder-grade cabinetry and counters replaced with full-height cabinetry and stone, generally keeping the existing layout since it functions adequately and moving plumbing is the expensive part.
Master bath reconfiguration
Garden tub removed, walk-in shower built in the recovered space, double vanity where the room allows.
Storage and pantry additions
Adding proper pantry storage to floor plans that were built with very little of it.

Can you add a pantry to a kitchen that does not have one?
Usually, yes. The most common approach is converting a section of the cabinetry run into a full-height pantry, which requires no structural work at all. Where there is an adjacent closet or dead corner, that can sometimes be opened into the kitchen for a genuine walk-in — more involved, but a substantially better result in floor plans that were built with almost no food storage.
How disruptive is a kitchen remodel?
Meaningfully disruptive for a period of weeks — the kitchen is out of service from demolition until appliances are set. We stage materials before starting and sequence trades back to back to compress that window. Most homeowners set up a temporary kitchen elsewhere in the house with a microwave and refrigerator and stay put rather than moving out.
Do you serve Avondale regularly?
Yes, it is close to our West Valley base. Proximity matters more on a remodel than people expect — less travel loss from each working day, faster response when something needs attention, and no reluctance about coming back for the final punch list items.
